Red Shawl

Red Shawl is a series of lyric and dramatic acrylic-on-canvas works that reveal women in intimate poses of contemplation. Each painting includes a red-patterned, fringed shawl as a representation of the actions of covering and uncovering that women perform, both physically (with our bodies), and symbolically (with cosmetics, fears, and even vices).
